Educate nursing, medical and other hospital staff in infection control, employee health and hospital epidemiology.

Write the hospital employee health policies and provide information and guidance on employee health issues to medical staff, employee health clinic as well as hospital staff.

Conduct on-going surveillance for infectious diseases for patients as well as health care personnel.

Review, summarize surveillance data, develop quality reports and find trends. Provide appropriate reports to local health department, appropriate hospital committees and CDPH/ National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).

Attend meetings and committees relevant to infection control and employee health on the hospital, county and state levels.
